Another hot and humid day is on tap for the region. Temperatures are set to get into the lower and middle 90s for many of us. The high humidity will make it feel like we’re closer to 100-105°. The hot and humid weather will prime the atmosphere with plenty of potential storm energy. The question is whether storms are able to pop. If they can, they could become strong to severe with damaging winds up to 60mph and heavy rain. The best chances of this happening look to be across the areas with elevation to our north and west. With that said though, we will also need to watch for potential storm development in our region between 2-10PM. Our Chesapeake’s Bounty Futurecast shows how this threat could play out.
