Tonight’s Forecast: Windy & Becoming Cold

Brought to you by Row House

Temperatures this afternoon were able to reach into the lower 50s with mostly clear skies. However, we have had a stubborn northwest wind to contend with all day, making it feel much colder. These winds are funneling in colder air, which will become very noticeable by tonight. The cold air to our northwest is what will be settling in overnight.

Many spots will be allowed to get down into the 20s overnight, thanks to the clear skies and northwest flow. Areas further inland, away from the Bay, may even be able to sneak temperatures into the upper teens. The NW winds will make it feel like everyone’s in the teen tonight!

Winds will remain elevated through midnight, with gusts up to 30-45mph remaining possible. We should see the winds back off a touch though as we work towards daybreak. Gusts up to 15-30mph still look very possible, though.

The Wind Advisory is set to expire at 7PM this evening, which speaks to the fact that winds will calm down a touch. With that said though, I would still expect northwesterly breezes to greet you tomorrow morning!

After tonight’s blast of cold air, Sunday will also be set up to be a winter-like day. Highs will likely only top out in the lower to middle 40s by the afternoon. We will have clear skies though. While the winds will not be as gusty as they were today, I would still expect 15-25mph breezes to stick around throughout Sunday.
