We are off to a frigid start this morning as the coldest air of the season yet strengthens its grip on the area. Many spots bottomed out in the teens overnight. Adding in northwest gusts to 20-30mph is making it feel like we’re in the lower teens and single digits as you hard out the door (as shown below). Make sure you bundle up this morning!
Temperatures will not recover much from this morning. We are likely to only top out in the middle to upper 20s region-wide this afternoon. Thankfully, our northwest gusts will calm down by this afternoon. However, it will still feel bitterly cold outside.
I will have an update on the weekend storm “threat” out later today, likely during the late afternoon/early evening hours. Make sure you stay tuned for that update!
