Thursday’s Forecast: Cool & Unsettled

Brought to you by Chesapeake Orthodontics

After a warm and humid day yesterday, we finally have cooler air moving in as a cold front moves through the region. Thanks to the front, temperatures will be kept in the 70s today, regionwide.

The incoming front also helped to spark thunderstorms last night across Northern MD, and we also saw thunderstorms move across Southern MD early this morning. Showers and some thunderstorms do remain across the region this morning. As this activity moves northwest, we should see some clearing by 8-10AM. Showers will remain possible all day though as the cold front slowly crosses the region.

At the very least we will keep the cloud cover around today, and we likely will not see total clearing until late tonight. While scattered showers will be the theme today, it’s very possible we see an increase in the activity between 3/4PM – 9/10PM. I wouldn’t even rule out a clap or two of thunder. The severe risk is low today, and any flooding threat will diminish throughout the day. Our Chesapeake’s Bounty Futurecast does a great job of showing all of this.
