After a seasonal day yesterday, our region is heading back into the cooler to close out the week! High temperatures this afternoon will look to only get up near freezing! This will be thanks to northerly winds that are delivering the Canadian, cold air. Do not let the abundant sunshine today full you! It will be cold.
Winds throughout the day will not be as gusty as we have seen them in weeks past. Winds will only look to gust up to 10-15mph, which is more than manageable on a typical day. However, even that little bit of extra wind will add an additional chill to the air! Wind chills will likely run between 5-8° below the actual air temperature. Temperatures will look to fall off after sunset as well.
I am still tracking the chance of some snow that could be possible late Friday into Saturday. I wrote about this threat yesterday on Facebook and wrote out a six-part Twitter thread (gotta love the 240 character limit). I will want to check that out to get an overview of what the setup could be heading into late this week, and my thoughts on the storm potential. I will have an update on this system published this afternoon, which may include my First Call snow map!
