Wednesday’s Forecast: Hit and Miss Showers

Brought to you by Calvert Title Company

Yesterday turned out to be a decent weather day across the region, with seasonal temps in the lower 80s and mostly sunny skies. Today, though, we will see rain chances increase as a storm systems pass by our region. But, today does not look to be an all-out washout.

Hi-Resolution Futurecast loop

Our Hi-Resolution Futurecast shows the chance of showers today will be the highest to the northwest of our region. However, we could see a couple of showers pivot their way down to Southern MD during the midday and early afternoon hours. These shouldn’t be heavy, though.

The chance of rain today looks to sit around 40% across Southern MD. Again, the rain should not be heavy, but be on guard for a passing shower between 10am and 5pm today. With enough sunshine, temperatures will look to get back into the lower 80s today!

Meanwhile, areas in the Deep South are under a Level 4 “Significant Risk” of severe weather for this afternoon and evening. A strong storm complex will look to develop and bring the threat of hail, damaging winds to 75-80mph, and a few tornadoes. Any interests in the region will need to stay weather-aware today!
