The cold temps aren’t in a rush to leave! Lows in the teens and gusts up to 15mph mean another Cold Weather Advisory is in effect tonight. This intense shot of Arctic air remains locked over the region.
By late tonight into early Wednesday morning, wind chills will fall into the single digits and below zero, with the coldest values west of the mountains. Some areas under an Extreme Cold Warning could see wind chills as low as –20° to –30°, where frostbite can occur in minutes. Even outside of the warning area, exposed skin can be impacted quickly due to persistent winds.
Limit time outdoors tonight and make sure to dress in layers, hats, and gloves if you must be outside.
