Another hot and humid day is on tap for the region this afternoon, which could help lead to a spotty storm or two this afternoon.
With heat and humidity on the rise across the region, an Air Quality Alert has been issued for Tuesday.
Heavy rain looks possible across southern parts of the Mid-Atlantic on Monday due to a slow moving front. This could deliver a chance of heavy rain to Southern MD as well.
With today’s heat and humidity will come the threat of some scattered storms this evening. 1 or 2 of these storms could be strong to severe.
Mid-summer heat is due to return the region today with the threat of afternoon and evening storms.
Temps will only drop down into the 70s overnight with increasing humidity. We may also see a quick-hitting shower move through before sunrise.
