BREAKING: Dense Fog Advisory Until 10AM

The National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all of the gray shaded regions on the map above until 10AM Friday. This includes all of Southern Maryland, as well as King Geroge County in VA. I would expect the National Weather Service offices in Wakefield, VA and Philadelphia, PA to issue Advisories that would cover the Northern Neck and Eastern Shore later on tonight

Dense fog is likely to develop overnight as leftover moisture from today’s weather system sticks around. This fog threat will be the highest along the waterways and in rural areas, with the worst of it likely developing by sunrise.

Hazardous driving conditions are likely due to low visibility. Visibilities could get below one-quarter mile at times. Expect impacts on the morning commute. Remember to slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
