Friday’s Forecast: AM Showers, PM Sun, & Cooler Temps

Brought to you by Calvert Title Company

We saw scattered showers move through the region yesterday as a cold front moved through the region. The cold front has just about cleared the region, and should be to our south by this afternoon. While this is bringing some AM showers, it will lead to some nice weather this weekend!

We do have some showers out there this morning, but nothing too crazy or impactful. While you may want to take your umbrella with you this morning, you likely will only need it for the walk out the door. Clearing skies later today will set us up for a great afternoon and an amazing evening!

Hi-Resolution Futurecast simulated radar

Futurecast shows those spotty showers working through the region this morning. These are hit and miss, and not widespread. We will see this limited rain activity gradually shut off from north to south as the cold front moves to our south. It looks like most should be clear by 10-11am.

As the cold front moves to our south, you will likely notice an increase in the wind later on this morning. This will be because cooler, drier air will be filtering into the region behind the front. We could see northerly gusts up to 20-25mph. We should see these wind die down by mid-afternoon.

All-in-all, we have a great weather day on tap! We do have some showers out there early this morning, but these will get out of here by mid-morning. This will set up a great afternoon and evening! You will definitely want to eat dinner outdoors if possible! These clear skies, below-average temps, and low humidity will stick around through Sunday! We are truly in for an early-fall treat!
