Monday’s Forecast: Nice Weather to Start the Week!

Brought to you by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty

We have pretty nice weather to kick off May! Many spots will look to max out in the upper 70 to lower 80s, which is only a few degrees above average for this time of year. Humidity should not be a major factor and skies should clear throughout the day.

We are off to a mild and somewhat cloudy start this morning with temperatures in the 60s. This will set the stage for temperatures to warm greatly throughout the morning. Most spots should be in the 70s by lunchtime, and nearing 80* this afternoon! We may see some clouds return after sunset, but the chance of rain is very low.

24 Hour precipitation totals from the National Weather Service

Yesterday’s chance did not exactly pan out as expected! The only spots locally that saw appreciable rain were near the Route 50 corridor, in northern spots. Many communities in Southern MD only a few a hundredths of an inch, if anything. We are somewhat dry across the area, so any rain would be welcome!

The next chance of rain will not look to come until Wednesday when a cold front swings through. This front may bring some storms, but will definitely bring cooler temps to close out the week. We may have a more meaningful chance of rain by the end of the week as a system works through the area.
