Monday’s Forecast: The Beginning of a Warm Up!

Brought to you by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty

After a weekend that featured wild weather swings and an injection of arctic air, today looks to be markedly better! Our week-long warm up begins today as highs across the region look to get into the upper 50s and lower 60s. While we’ll have southerly winds today, aiding in the warm up, the winds should be light.

We are off to a rather chilly start this morning, with many of us waking up to temperatures in the 30s. We will see that change quickly, though. Temperatures will likely climb into the 50s by lunchtime. We will see increasing cloudiness throughout the day, but precip chances are low.

Quickly, I also want to point out the sunset time! Yesterday was the first time in months that we have had a sunset after 7pm. The next time we will see a sunset after 7pm will be September 23rd, 2022. Not to put a damper on things, but, we are only 99 days from June 21st, which is when we will start losing daylight. Above is a yearly graph that depicts daylight hours throughout the year for our region from https://www.timeanddate.com/. The Y-axis is the hours throughout the day (in military time) and the X-axis is days throughout the year.

All in all, we have a rather quiet weather week ahead. Our average high for this time of the year is 55. We will look to be above that number every day over the coming week, with temperatures nearing 70 by Friday. The only rain chance this week comes on St. Patrick’s Day (of course). Granted, even that should not be high impact.
