Lots of questions about the chances of winter weather with our third system! It does look like a system will, indeed, be moving through Tuesday into Wednesday. But how strong the northern Jet Stream is will dictate where the snow is centered. Recent trends favor the Mid-Atlantic.
It is still a bit early for a reliable forecast on snow amounts or heavy snow placement. With that said, this does not appear to be as big as the January system was. However, wherever the heaviest axis of snow sets up could see half a foot of snow Tuesday afternoon/evening.
A secondary round of light winter weather may focus a bit more north for Tuesday PM/Wednesday AM. Lots of moving pieces!
Expect, at least, moderate impacts Tuesday into Wednesday for the Mid-Atlantic. More details to come with a first call forecast likely by tomorrow!
