Thursday’s Forecast: Cooler Temps with Gusty Winds

Brought to you by G&H Jewelers, Inc.

After yesterday’s Spring-like warmth, we will see temperatures be noticeably cooler today. While we are off to a mild start this morning, we will likely only add a few degrees to our current numbers before we see that cooler air rush in this afternoon and evening.

Our Chesapeake’s Bounty Futurecast shows scattered light showers moving through over the next few hours along a cold front that will sag southward. Any rain showers are likely to be cleared out of the region by mid-morning. With that said though, I do not expect much rain from this as it moves through.

Temperatures will look to peak into the middle 50s around lunchtime before that cooler air settles in. Temperatures will drop gradually this afternoon, before a quick fall off in temps happens after sunset. We will likely only see a few passing clouds throughout the day.

Behind the front, we will see our winds pick up from the north, ushering in the cooler air. This afternoon and evening, we could see winds gust upwards of 20-30mph at times. This will definitely add a bit of extra chill to the air, especially tonight.

This northerly flow will lead to a much colder Friday, with highs only in the 40s. We will see a nice rebound in our weather as we head into the weekend, though! 70s look likely for Sunday and Monday! Check out the details on that part of the forecast in yesterday afternoon’s update!
