Tuesday’s Forecast: Hot & Hazy w/ PM Storm Chance

Brought to you by Calvert Title Company

Yesterday was a warm and hazy one across the region, and I expect a repeat performance today! However, temperatures across the region will likely be a few degrees warmer, with highs in the lower to middle 90s. We will also introduce a 30% chance of an isolated summertime storm this evening.

We are already off to a subpar start with poor air quality across the region. The smoke from the Canadian wildfires will linger across the region today but will be the worst this morning. Heat indices in the upper 90s are possible this afternoon, thanks to high humidity. This combination could also allow for a storm or two this evening.

Areas east of the Blue Ridge Mountains have been placed under a Level 1 “Marginal Risk” of seeing a severe storm this evening. 80-85% of us won’t see anything this evening. However, we may see a storm or two bubble up. If you get caught under one, locally heavy rain and gusty winds will be possible. Stay weather aware this evening!
