We’re in for a classic case of weather whiplash today, starting off cold before a dramatic turnaround unfolds this afternoon.
The day begins in the mid-20s to low-30s with a cold, breezy start, but conditions improve quickly as southerly flow develops this afternoon. Winds shift and strengthen, allowing temperatures to climb rapidly through the 40s and into the 50s — and even low 60s in spots. While clouds increase later in the day, the biggest story is the impressive warm-up, lifting much of the region out of the ice box after a chilly morning.
