Wednesday’s Forecast: Nice Temps, Spotty PM Storm?

Brought to you by OakPoint Insurance

Yesterday featured much nicer weather as we saw the rain begin to come to an end across the region. This has set us up nicely for nice weather this morning! This will lay the groundwork for another day of below-average temps. However, it looks like we may have hit-and-miss storms that could fire up this evening.

It feels very nice out there this morning with temps in the 50s and 60s! We will gradually warm things up this morning, likely getting in the 80s around lunchtime. Mostly clear skies will hang on for most of us! Eating lunch outside could definitely be in the cards! However, rain chances look to increase after 3pm.

Hi-Resolution Futurecast simulated radar

Futurecast shows that after 3pm, or so, we may start to see popcorn-like thunderstorms develop across the region. These are not likely to be overly strong or widespread. Most communities only have a 30% of seeing these move overhead. This is definitely not something to cancel plans over. But it is something to be aware of this afternoon and evening!

All in all, we have a pretty nice day on tap! Temps will look to stay around 5° below average with mostly clear skies. Brief pop-up showers and storms are possible this afternoon, which is something you will want to keep in mind. We will see temperatures begin to creep back into the upper 80s by the end of the week!
