Wednesday’s Forecast: Scattered Showers Likely

Brought to you by Chesapeake’s Bounty

Yesterday, we saw periods of rain move through the region which brought some of us much-needed rain. This was especially true in our northern zones! Today will look to feature yet another chance for rain across the region. The increased rain chance and cloud cover will help to keep temperatures cooler, as well.

We are off to a humid start this morning with a few showers moving through the region. While temperatures will not budge much today, we will keep those humid conditions around. Hit-and-miss showers are also likely throughout the day. We may see a brief break in the activity around lunchtime, but almost anytime today will be fair game for rain.

Hi-Resolution Futurecast simulated radar

Futurecast is doing a great job of depicting today’s rain threat. It will not rain everywhere all day today. However, all locations will have the chance of rain at any point today. Futurecast suggests that the highest rain chances will be later on this morning and again this afternoon and evening.

While the severe weather threat is low today, some showers could evolve into locally heavier downpours. If you have outdoor plans this afternoon or evening, I would plan on moving them indoors to avoid any impacts.
