Snow pushed into the region overnight and will look to linger throughout the day! High impacts expected as our winter storm continues on.

Our region’s first winter storm in nearly two years is set to bring high impacts from heavy snow, and potentially some sleet, on Monday.

As I work on the winter storm forecast, there are three key things I am watching for as they will impact the forecast greatly.

Ahead of Monday’s winter storm, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of the Mid-Atlantic.

A high impact winter storm is set to bring meaningful amounts of snow and sleet to the region on Monday.

A quick moving clipper system is likely to bring a quick burst of rain changing to snow this afternoon and evening.

Odds are increasing that modest snow/sleet will impact the Mid-Atlantic early next week with some details starting to come into focus.
