Friday’s Forecast: Calm Before the Storm

Brought to you by G&H Jewelers, Inc.

We look to have another quiet weather day on tap across the region today! We will also see decently warm temperatures across the region as well. Many areas should be able to get well into the 50s this afternoon, with inland locations potentially getting into the 60s!

We are off to a chilly start this morning, with many of us waking up to temperatures in the 30s. We should see temperatures gradually rise throughout the morning though, thanks to southerly winds. Mostly clear skies will also help warm us up!

We will see clouds increase this evening though as winds begin to switch out of the southeast. That easterly component to the wind will help bring in slightly cooler air after sunset.

Our Chesapeake’s Bounty Futurecast shows that much of the day will be dry. However, you can see the increase in cloud cover take hold after sunset. We will see rain begin to move closer to our region this evening, with rain looking to arrive just after midnight with our next storm system.

I am still tracking the potential for a high-impact system to move through our region tomorrow. Rain, storms, wind, and snow all look possible as this dynamic system takes hold. For the latest Saturday forecast, check out yesterday’s forecast report! I will have an update to this forecast published later today. Stay tuned!
