We will finally begin to see the rain that has plagued the region since Wednesday come to an end. Pockets of heavy rain will linger throughout the afternoon and evening. We’ll see the rain gradually end overnight, granted a leftover shower cannot be ruled out. The rain should end after sunrise, but drizzle and patchy fog may remain before some breaks in the cloud cover around lunchtime. An additional inch or two of rain could be possible in some areas!
