BREAKING: Winter Storm Warnings Issued Ahead of Weekend Storm

Brought to you by William Richmond Inc. Roofing & Siding

Not much of a surprise at this point, but Winter Storm Warnings are now in effect across much of the Mid-Atlantic. These warnings run from 11 PM Saturday through 4 AM Monday and reflect the high-confidence, high-impact nature of this storm.

Northwest of I-95, warnings are driven by near to over a foot of snow, with some mixing late in the event. Southeast of I-95, warnings are focused on a combination of at least 6 inches of snow followed by significant icing, with up to a quarter inch of ice accretion possible in spots. Travel impacts will be severe at times, and power outages remain a concern, especially where icing persists.

Bottom line: this is a major winter storm with dangerous conditions expected region-wide. I’ll have an updated forecast later this afternoon with refined totals, timing, and impact details—stay tuned!
