Watching the Chance of Snow on Tuesday

Brought to you by William Richmond Inc. Roofing & Siding

Many have been asking about the chance of #snow on Tuesday in Mid-Atlantic. I haven’t said much because I’ve never really liked this setup. With that said, we will have a fresh injection of cold air to work with a system developing to our south… but how far north does it come?

Much of the Mid-South is likely to see snow Monday with Phase 1 of this storm. Once this system hits the mountains, it will transfer its energy to the coast. A new low will develop, and it will either go up the coast or out to sea. Snow lovers want Option 1.

However, I have been leaning more toward Option 2, with an out-to-sea track and only a glancing blow of light snow. Sure enough, this is what our models have been trending toward. While I would never speak on amounts this far out–this would only bring minor amounts of snow…

Now, we do see 3-ish days out from this, and plenty can, and likely will, change. Snow lovers need this system to hold more moisture and have an atmospheric setup that’s more “amped” to allow a track up the coast. I’ll keep watching this with more to say tomorrow! As always, stay away from the hype!
