Wednesday’s Forecast: AM Rain and Remaining Cold

Brought to you by G&H Jewelers, Inc.

Today does not look to be a great day in the weather department across the region. Periods of rain are likely, which could be heavy at times this morning. What I think makes this worse is that we will stay in the 40s throughout the day, making it a tad miserable outside.

Our Chesapeake’s Bounty Futurecast shows that we will see periods of rain move through the region throughout the morning. After some waves of moderate to heavy rain, we should be able to dry out some this afternoon, with clearing skies this evening.

Pax River NAS has already picked up about a third of an inch of rain this morning. With an additional half-inch of rain looking possible by this afternoon, it looks likely that many spots will end up with near an inch of rain by the time all is said and done.

We will have an easterly wind around today, which will keep temperatures rather steady, in the lower to middle 40s. You will definitely need the winter coat throughout the day. While the umbrella will be needed this morning, you should encounter drying conditions on the ride home this evening.

Temperatures fall back into the 30s this evening. However, I am not overly concerned about a refreeze tonight, with temperatures staying above freezing.
