Wednesday’s Forecast: Dangerous Heat Returns Today! 🥵

Brought to you by Sonder Studios

Another very hot day is on tap across the region, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the upper 90s and lower 100s. Combined with the heat, it will feel like 103° to 108° in many locations, prompting a Heat Advisory from 11 AM to 8 PM.

While humidity won’t be quite as extreme as some recent heat waves, the air temperatures themselves will be near record levels, making it just as dangerous to spend extended time outdoors.

🌫️ Air Quality Alert: Smoke from Canadian wildfires will also keep air quality in the Code Orange (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) category across much of the DC and Baltimore metro areas. Those with asthma, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions should consider limiting prolonged outdoor activity.

🌡️ Today’s Bottom Line:
💧 Drink plenty of water and avoid dehydration.
🧢 Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (11 AM–6 PM).
😎 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
🌫️ Sensitive groups should reduce prolonged outdoor exposure due to poor air quality.
🐶 Remember to check on pets, neighbors, and never leave children or animals in parked vehicles.
