After a rather wet 24-hours across the region, the National Weather Service has released it’s report on the official rainfall totals we saw.
Lingering showers are possible east of I-95 today as our area of low-pressure from Wednesday slowly moves out to sea.
Pockets of heavy rain and scattered storms will be possible across the Mid-Atlantic overnight thanks to stalled frontal boundary.

A warm and humid day will set the stage for the risk of severe storms and heavy rain this afternoon and evening.
A frontal boundary will set up over the region on Wednesday and set the stage for a couple of rounds of heavy rain.
The first day of astronomical summer will bring the region warmth and rising humidity levels as our summertime pattern returns.
Today will likely be our last nice weather day after a very nice weekend in the weather department. Seasonally cool highs look likely!
